Guy Brown

Guy Brown joined WKOW TV in March 2018. He hails from our nation’s capital where he graduated from St. Mary’s Ryken High School and Towson University.

Guy’s career started in Washington D.C at ABC 7 WJLA-TV, where he worked with accomplished reporters, meteorologists and directors. It was there where he earned the respect of the team as a hardworking news production assistant. Prior to moving to Madison, Guy worked at KGWN TV in Cheyenne, WY. While there, Guy covered tornadoes, wildfires, blizzards and strong Chinook winds. As any good weatherman should, he is passionate about weather reporting and weather patterns that impact daily life.

Guy studied electronic media & film and broadcast meteorology at Towson University, and is currently pursuing additional meteorology courses at Mississippi State University. Guy is an active member of the National Weather association, American Meteorological Society and the National Association of Black Journalist.

In his spare time, Guy enjoys painting, snowboarding, playing golf, visiting museums, cooking and catching up on a good book. Guy’s paintings have received attention domestically and globally, including Ireland, California and New York City. Guy’s mantra: Sunshine in your heart goes a long way on a rainy day!
