MADISON (WKOW) — A summertime tradition kicked off this week in Madison.
Thursday was the first day of the Dane County fair at the Alliant Energy Center. It runs from July 19th through the 22nd.
Fair admission includes free access to nightly concerts, stunt shows, animals in the Pavilions and Arena Building, youth exhibits in the Exhibition Hall, a carnival, and dozens of vendors.
Admission is free for children five and under. Kids who are between six and 11 years old cost $3. Anyone 12 and older cost $8. Parking is free.
The Dane County Fair is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
