MADISON (WKOW) — It’s been all hands on deck to help people get around all the detours, that includes Madison Mayor Paul Soglin.
We captured a clip of Mayor Paul Soglin directing traffic on Odana Road on Tuesday morning in Madison. He says he wasn’t the only community leader stepping up to help.
"When I left the corner of Grand Canyon and Platt, I was replaced by the second highest ranking police officer in the city," said Soglin. "So I guess the only point is everybody was out there trying to make some kind of contribution."
Most of the roads around Madison have reopened but a few are still flooded. Soglin says other roads are still blocked by stalled cars and damage. He asks drivers to honor all roadblocks.
