Cache of guns, ammo and “old” cash stolen from Geneva garage

GENEVA, WI (WKOW) —  Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find out more information about a robbery that happened Sunday in the Town of Geneva.

A news release says town police responded to a burglary on Remer Road after someone entered an unlocked garage and removed many items including guns, cash and personal certificates, from an unlocked safe.

The weapons include a double-barrel shotgun with cracked stock, a Bushmaster AR-15 with five clips, a Browning A-5 12 gauge, a Browning 20 gauge, a Browning 27 Buckmark, a Taurus 44 magnum, a Glock 40 Caliber handgun, a Sig Sauer 40 caliber handgun, a Browning .308 Automatic, a Beretta 12 gauge, a Winchester model 1100 with custom trap barrel and a Browning 10-gauge pump with a 24-inch barrel.

The owners told police an unknown amount of ammunition was also taken. Those items included .22, 308 and  7m caliber bullets. Some 40mm, .22 and 9mm ammo was also taken.

Police also say a clear bottom/white top tote was taken that contained birth certificates, wills, power of attorney documents and Social Security information,  About $2000 in “old” cash was also stolen, which included $100 bills from the 1930s and silver coins. Hunting and fishing items additionally were taken.
