Importance of early voting takes center stage at Evers, Stubbs event

MADISON (WKOW) — The importance of early voting was just one issue Tony Evers emphasized at an event in Madison Friday.

The Democratic nominee for governor appeared with State Representative-elect Sheila Stubbs and spoke about education, making health care affordable and infrastructure. But his main focus was early voting.

“It begins right over there, early voting,” said Evers. It’s going to be at the ballot box that we change this. It begins and ends there.”

Early voting is available at the Madison City Clerk’s office weekdays until November 2, 2018. Pre-registered voters can vote from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, November 3, 2018.)

The clerk’s office is at the City-County Building at 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Room 103.  The hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
