BLUE MOUNDS (WKOW) — A Blue Mounds man suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries today after being stabbed during a dispute between roommates.
Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Mt. Horeb police, responded at 2:53 p.m. to 10986 South Street in the Village of Blue Mounds, where a man had reportedly been being stabbed.
The victim was able to identify the suspect, Timothy M. Foley, 55, but Foley had fled the residence before law enforcement arrived, according to a Dane County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The men had argued after Foley was brought home by another roommate in the apartment and the two were intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The 42-year-old victim was asking Foley to leave, when he was stabbed in the abdomen.
A short time later, deputies took Foley into custody at his own residence on County Highway F in Blue Mounds.
Police are recommending charges of first degree recklessly endangering safety, and is being held in the Dane County Jail.
The victim was transported to UW Hospital where he underwent surgery for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
