UPDATE: Cambridge man’s body found in Koshkonong Creek

UPDATE (WKOW) — An elderly man’s body has been recovered from the Koshkonong Creek in the Town of Albion.

The Dane County Medical Examiner says John O. Rindahl, 83, of Cambridge, likely drowned. He had been reported missing on October 10 and his vehicle was found parked on Aarback Road in the Town of Albion. The medical examiner says Rindahl’s body was recovered in a nearby creek October 13.

The medical examiner says there was nothing discovered at his autopsy that suggests someone else was involved in Rindahl’s death, but the manner of death is pending an investigation and additional testing is underway.


JEFFERSON COUNTY (WKOW) — Police are looking for an endangered missing person in Jefferson County.

Authorities have issued a statewide alert to find John O. Rindahl, 83.

Rindahl was last seen leaving his home in a car Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. His car was found later in the town of Albion, in Dane County. Rindahl has not contacted his family or friends.

Rindahl was last seen wearing black cargo pants and a t-shirt. He is about 5’10” and weighs 220 pounds. He has hazel eyes and wavy, gray hair.
