MADISON (WKOW) – Back to back clipper systems are getting ready to move through the area, with the first late tonight.
Expect light snow/rain mix overnight tonight with a very quick half an inch of snow possible in some spots. Most of the snow will be done by the morning commute, but watch out for a few slick spots.
The larger of the two systems moves in tomorrow night. This one comes with much more uncertainty on the location of the heaviest snow. What we do know is the timing of the systems comes through Friday night after 9 PM and will wrap up late Saturday morning.
A good bet for snow totals will be 1-2 inches for most with higher amounts in SW WI. Models are showing some big disagreements in snow totals so I wouldnt be surprised if these need to be changed a bit tomorrow.
Very cold air moves in after the snow with highs Saturday and Sunday in the low 30s.
