MADISON (WKOW) — Along with the calendar turning to December, we see other signs of the holiday season in the Madison area.
One of those signs is the return of Olbrich’s Holiday Express.
From now until the end of December, you’ll see large-scale model trains at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. Members of the Wisconsin Garden Railway Society bring their trains and set them up to drive through holiday scenes.
Organizers say it’s an event for everyone.
“That’s one of the really cool things about this event is that it is multi-generational,” says Katy Plantenberg with Olbrich Botanical Gardens. “So we are seeing people who visited as a kid bringing their children and seeing grandparents and children which is a really fun thing around the holidays.”
The Holiday Express opens December 1 and runs through December 31.
It’s open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. each day, with two exceptions:
Closed all day December 25
