Truck crashes into Spring Green building after driver suffers medical emergency

SPRING GREEN (WKOW) — A flatbed truck slammed into a Spring Green apartment building Monday after police say the driver suffered a medical emergency.

Spring Green police were called at 2:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a flatbed truck that had collided with an apartment building on Hoxie Street at Peterson Street in the Village of Spring Green.

The driver of the truck had been working in the area on a landscaping project and suffered a medical emergency, according to Spring Green police.

Spring Green Ambulance responded to check on the medical condition and the driver who was transported to Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville.

The flatbed was driving westbound on Hoxie Street and veered of the roadway and stuck the apartment complex, according to police.

There were residents at home at the time of the accident, but there are no injuries to report.

The building suffered significant damage to the lower level and the truck sustained moderate damage.

The condition of the truck driver is unknown at this time. Spring Green Fire Department assisted on scene to assess damage to the building.
