2018 was second wettest year on record in southern Wisconsin

MADISON (WKOW) – The word “soggy” comes to mind when describing this past year.

Officially at Dane County Regional Airport, 50.17″ of rain fell, making this the second wettest year on record.

The wettest year in the books was back in 1881 with 52.91″ of rain.

The impact from this past summer’s heavy rain was devastating causing widespread flooding in multiple towns across our area.
