MADISON (WKOW) – Snow will continue this evening, and could be briefly intense early on. Expect the snow to become lighter as the evening wears on, tapering from west to east. It’ll be done well before sunrise.
New Year’s night is already one of the most dangerous times of year to be driving. Combined with the snow, travel will be even more treacherous.
Figure out your designated driver now or plan on using a ride share or cab company.
As we change over to all snow, highest totals will be north and northeast of Madison with 4-6 inches expected.
Central areas from northern Grant County through Madison will receive 2-4 inches, while only a dusting to an inch is expected near the WI/IL border.
