MADISON (WKOW) — A yummy fundraiser benefiting Habitat for Humanity is happening in Madison.
Souper Bowl XXIII will be held at Madison West High School on Saturday, Feb. 2 from noon to 6 p.m.
People who attend get to pick out a locally-made ceramic bowl and receive soup of their choice, served by many celebrity soup servers. 27’s Rebecca Ribley, Nick Buffo, Caroline Bach and George Smith will be at the event.
The Souper Bowl is the largest fundraiser for the UW-Madison student chapter of Habitat for Humanity. More than 1,400 people were served last year.
“The money that we raise at this event will go to our 17th house that we’re building in Dane County this year,” said Ariana Christophersen, a spokesperson for the Habitat for Humanity chapter at UW-Madison.
There will be more than soup at the event Saturday. Entertainment will be provided from an acapella group and the UW band. There will also be face painting and raffle prizes.
The cost is $15 for a bowl or $35 for a family of four.
