MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Winter Festival at Elver Park is underway.
This is the 15th year of the community festival, but only the 3rd year at Elver Park. Before it was downtown near the capitol.
The community festival celebrates outdoor sports, arts and a healthy lifestyle during the winter months.
There is live music, skiing and fat biking.
Organizers expect a good turnout.
“The weather has definitely been on our mind, in Wisconsin we embrace the weather no matter what it is, even during polar vortex,” said Winter Festival Organizer, Carly Ziegler. “We were excited that it was going to be warmer this weekend, it has been perfect weather for people to come out and play.”
The event continues on Sunday, it goes from 10 am – 4:30 pm.
