Forward Madison FC signs Madison native

MADISON (WKOW) — Madison’s newest sports organization now has a homegrown player. Forward Madison FC signed La Follette High School graduate Carl Schneider.

The 26-year-old fullback played club soccer in Madison before starring at La Follette and playing at UW-Madison. He most recently played in Sweden.

“Signing for Forward Madison feels almost surreal,” Schneider said in a statement. “I’ve been in the Madison soccer community for so long and always aspired to play professionally. I never thought my first pro contract would come in that same Madison community where I learned the game.”
