MADISON (WKOW) — JJ Watt, the all-pro defensive end for the Houston Texan’s who played college football at the University of Wisconsin, will be the commencement speaker in May.
Watt made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday.
“Thank you to the class of 2019 for choosing me to be your commencement speaker,” he said.
“I’m not sure of the people organizing this know I haven’t graduated yet, so I’m just saying, if a diploma happened to slide my way, I wouldn’t be too upset,” he added.
Commencement will take place at noon, Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Camp Randall.
