MADISON (WKOW) — NAACP Dane County held its 2019 Community Conversation on Saturday.
The moderated discussion at the Urban League of Greater Madison provided a place for people in Dane County to share their perspectives and concerns on issues impacting their daily lives.
Some issues discussed were civil rights, hate and discrimination, higher education and voting rights.
“The tremendous effort to really build into our infrastructure civic education and civic information, specifically, how do we get the purpose and meaning of voting into the classrooms,” said NAACP president Greg Jones.
From the information shared, the NAACP will seek out solutions to move its civil rights and social justice agendas forward.
