Wake up call: The opioid epidemic hits home

(WKOW) — There isn’t a neighborhood that hasn’t had an opiate overdose occur within it, health officials say.

And the epidemic is hitting home.

“You see all people of different shapes, sizes, colors, and income levels,” they say. “it’s pretty eye-opening, just the numbers.”

Whether it’s a hotel or a home, whether it’s out on the street or a highway, unfortunately they see a lot of people that do die — and sometimes it’s in staggering numbers.
