MADISON (WKOW) — A group of robot builders put their creations to the test this weekend.
Various teams of high school students from across Wisconsin gathered for a mock tournament on Saturday.
This gives the teams a chance to see what a tournament will be like before competing in the real thing.
“This is an opportunity for us to see how power robots will perform under real match simulated conditions. So we’re going to go over all the field elements like the giant rocker or the cargo ship and try to place panels and launch balls in all these various places,” said Geoffrey Pomraning, president of Team 1306.
The event was hosted by Isthmus Engineering in Madison.
