Survivor describes experience during Neenah pileup

NEENAH (WKOW) — A survivor of the massive pileup on the interstate near Neenah says he’s stunned he made it out alive.

Kennan Timm was driving to work on I-41 Sunday in whiteout conditions when he hit the car in front of him and then was hit from behind, repeatedly.

About 15 minutes after the initial crash, Timm finally got out of his vehicle with a gash on his forehead.

“I was more nervous about the blood and then the fact that I had a full tank of gas, was my biggest fear and knowing I only had one door to get out. And my car was kind of tilted on the side of the median, by the concrete and so being late 50’s trying to get out, my athleticism isn’t where it used to be so trying to get out was definitely a challenge for me.”

Timm eventually got to an ambulance.

Tuesday, he gathered belongings from his SUV at the impound lot, where his vehicle and the majority of others involved in the crash are being stored.
