Travel company to plant 100,000 trees in Wisconsin

MADISON (WKOW) — A national travel company plans to plant 100,000 trees in Wisconsin.

Orbridge is working with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on the project.

It will be part of the DNR’s reforestation effort.

The company’s president and founder says they wanted a way to counteract their carbon footprint, since they hire buses and cruise ships and print millions of brochures every year.

Orbridge is based in Seattle, but chose Wisconsin because of its ties to UW-Madison and the ease of working with the DNR.
