27 News obtains surveillance video of Whitehorse Middle School incident

MADISON (WKOW) — The family involved in the incident at Whitehorse Middle School has released the surveillance video to 27 News.

The incident was investigated by Madison Police and reviewed by Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne who announced Tuesday there was no crime committed in a confrontation between an 11-year-old Whitehorse Middle School student and a positive behavior support coach.

The video is hallway security footage from Whitehorse Middle School on February 13. It was reviewed by police and the district attorney. The incident is captured at the top of the screen and is hard to see because it’s far away from the security camera and the camera quality is grainy. The video shared to 27 News was zoomed in on the activity.

According to police reports, the video shows the behavior coach, the girl and a special education assistant moving out of the classroom and all falling to the floor. The girl’s mother, Mikiea Price, tells 27 News she believes the video shows her daughter being assaulted.
