Beloit police arrest man in connection to triple shooting, homicide

BELOIT (WKOW) — Beloit police have made an arrest and released the name of a person killed in a shooting near the intersection of Elm Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

The Beloit Police Department arrested a man Wednesday in connection to the March 11 shooting and homicide according to a Facebook post by the department today.

“Gregory A. Carter, 30, of Beloit, was arrested in Janesville Wednesday night for involvement in the incident,” police said. “Due to a potential conflict of interest in the Rock County District Attorney’s Office, the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office will review potential prosecution against Carter.”

Police also released the name of the person who died in the shooting. “Treron L. White, 21, of Beloit, was found deceased at the scene.”

A 15-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man were also hospitalized.
