Hundreds of fans welcome Giannis Antetokounmpo in Stoughton

Stoughton was the place to be on Wednesday evening – as the town welcomed in the potential NBA MVP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo stopped by the Kunes Country Car Dealership to sign autographs for a few hours, beginning at 5:30pm.

No exact head count was given out on Wednesday night, but easily more than a thousand fans waited to meet the Bucks forward. Some fans stood in line since 5am to get an autograph from the NBA All-Star.

Giannis joined our radio partners, iHeartMedia, to share what seeing the big crowd meant to him.

“I think sometimes us athletes, we forget what we play for,” said Giannis. “And just seeing how many people love the Milwaukee Bucks, love me, love my family, it’s amazing. It makes me want to go out there tomorrow night and even play harder for them. This is what I do it for, the kids. So many kids.”

The Bucks host the LA Clippers at Fiserv Forum on Thursday night at 7pm.
