(WKOW) — A man from Prairie du Sac is leading a convoy of flood relief supplies to Nebraska.
Joe Keller started collecting supplies last week to help farmers who’ve been ravaged by spring flooding. All of the supplies have been stored at Wollersheim Winery.
At first, Keller was planning to take one semi-load, but they got so many donations that they now have enough to fill another half-semi load and livestock trailer full of supplies.
Keller said he felt obligated to help out his fellow farmers.
“The farming community is an extremely small portion of the general population, therefore we certainly stick together,” Keller said.
Keller says the situation is so fluid in Nebraska right now that he won’t know who’ll be getting all of the donations until he gets to the drop off location.
