UW’s Canine Campus Crawl supports homeless animals

MADISON (WKOW) — Both feet and paws hit the Lakeshore Path on the UW-Madison campus on Sunday for the 11th annual Canine Campus Crawl.

It’s a 2-and-a-half mile run or walk that helps raise money for Dane County Humane Society.

Student organizers say it’s great to see so many people were able to come out despite the rainy weather.

“It’s really amazing to see people come out, especially when it’s going to rain. They still come out to support it,” said Abby Rothering, with the UW-Madison Pre-Veterinarian Association.

About 200 people with 100 dogs made the trek on Sunday.
