MADISON (WKOW) — A Sun Prairie man will spend 18 years in prison for his role in a Madison homicide.
Odum Carter, 32, was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to Felony Murder last May. Carter and three other men were charged in the 2017 shooting death of Michael Meaderds. Police say the men busted into his home on Northport Drive in Madison to try and rob him.
Emmanuel J. Johnson and Steven T. Johnson both pleaded guilty to armed robbery and each got 10 years in prison. Devon Davis pleaded guilty to armed robbery and is waiting to be sentenced.
Carter was given 18 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision by a Dane County judge.
Meaderds worked as a cook and left behind four children.
