MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — As gas prices are on the rise right now, a church in Milwaukee is giving its neighbors an early Easter gift.
Drivers started lining up early on Saturday to get free gas at a local BP station.
Milwaukee police showed up to help direct traffic, as Kingdom Faith Fellowship Church fueled the holiday weekend with goodwill.
“It’s about showing love and hopefully people will pay that love forward,” said Pastor Robert C. Randolph.
Those who benefited were grateful.
“A refueling to connect the people together and just bring unity together. I love it,” said Sonia Norwood.
Kingdom Faith volunteers filled about 100 tanks with free gas ahead of Easter services on Sunday.
