Warmth sticks around as showers and storms return later Monday

MADISON (WKOW) – Temps got to 80° Sunday afternoon, making it the warmest day of the year so far!

Though it won’t be as warm, expect overall above average temperatures through the work week with active weather returning.

Clouds increase tonight with temps staying very mild in the mid 50s. Temps on Monday will quickly jump to the low 70s before showers and storms develop around midday through the afternoon from west to east.

Showers and a few rumbles of thunder will continue at night before wrapping up early Tuesday morning.

By the time this system ends, we will have received 1/4″ to 1″ of rain.
