MADISON (WKOW) – There has been some light shower activity so far today. Somewhat heavier and more widespread rain is expected tonight and Wednesday morning.
Highs were only in the 40s today with scattered showers in the afternoon. More rain is expected tonight, and it will tend to be heavier than what fell so far today.
About 1/2 to 1 inch of rain is possible through tomorrow morning, with the heavier totals expected in southeast Wisconsin closer to the state line. There’s a threat for minor flooding tonight through early Wednesday where the heavier totals are expected. Low-lying areas may see some water accumulate and small creeks and streams may quickly rise, mainly in southeast Wisconsin.
Showers will end Wednesday morning with peeks of sunshine in the afternoon helping temps climb into the mid 50s.
Scattered light rain showers are expected Thursday with highs in the mid 50s before we quiet down and turn milder for Friday.
