Rain doesn’t stop crowd at parade in Cross Plains

(WKOW) — The Middleton High School marching band helped bring some energy to the Memorial Day parade in Cross Plains despite the rain.

With their ponchos and umbrellas, many people still came out to the event.

A fact not lost on local veterans.

“I’ve been here 43 years and these people here in town seem to amaze me,” said Navy veteran Ed Polowsky. “Every year they show up for this.”

The event concluded with a memorial service at the American Legion.
