Warm and dry today, but changes are on the way this weekend!

MADISON (WKOW) -Today was hazy and warm. It was the warmest day so far with afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 80s. The haze was due to smoke from forest fires in Canada pushed our way by winds in the upper atmosphere.

This smoky haze could promise a reddened sunset, and we would love to see your sunset photos. You can send them to connect@wkow.com

Tomorrow will not be a washout, but we’ll see periods of showers and thunderstorms push through southern Wisconsin, especially in the afternoon, with cooler highs in the low to mid 70s. Sunday will be sunny with even cooler highs in the upper 60s.

Enjoy the warm and dry evening!
