Coding center opens to teach kids STEM skills

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) — Kids in Sun Prairie can now learn how to code with a fun twist.

Code Ninjas opened on the west side Saturday.

It’s a karate-themed coding center for kids aged seven to 14.

Kids were able to see what it’s all about at the grand opening event on Saturday.

“We have a lot of kids here today doing different activities,” owner J.D. Uhler said. “They’re doing STEM, robotics and coding in there. We have six different stations set up for them to do it. It kind of gives them a taste of everything we do here and what we’re about at Code Ninjas.”

There are Code Ninja centers across the U.S., but this is the first in Wisconsin.
