Sunny start to the week, but there’s a catch

MADISON (WKOW) — From cloudy and calm on Sunday to sunny and breezy today.

Expect plenty of sunshine today with high pressure taking control, but a breezy NW wind will give the air some added bite. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s, a few degrees below average for this time of year.

Tuesday looks mostly problem-free with highs in the mid 70s. Expect fading sunshine ahead of low pressure developing over the Northern Plains, possibly leading to a stray afternoon shower or t-shower. A slightly better chance will come Tuesday night, with a much better opportunity on Wednesday with low pressure overhead. The clouds and showers will make for an unseasonably cool day; highs only in the mid 60s.

We stay cool, but drier, on Thursday with highs in the upper 60s.
