Storms could threaten weekend plans

MADISON (WKOW) — The sun came out this afternoon and we will stay dry this evening. A weekend filled with rain chances starts on Friday night.

This evening will be just as pleasant as it was this afternoon. Temps will get down into the mid 50s with partly cloudy skies.

Friday will start off with dry and partly sunny. The high temps will get into the mid to upper 70s across the viewing area. A few PM showers are possible, but overall Friday evening will be a great night to enjoy outdoor activities. Most of the showers and storms are expected after midnight.

Saturday will start off with high rain chances as those over night showers and storms weaken and move out. Mostly cloudy skies will continue all day, but rain will stop in the afternoon and evening hours. Temps will get into the upper 70s. Another system of showers and storms will come through in the late night hours of Saturday and finish up in the early morning hours on Sunday. Sunday will be more humid with temps in the low 80s. Yet another round of showers and storms will come through on Sunday night and linger into Monday morning.
