Hot and humid weekend ahead

MADISON (WKOW) — We will be feeling heat index values close to triple digits this weekend.

An isolated storm will still be possible tonight mainly in the southern counties. Most of us will stay dry. Temps will be in the upper 60s and it will be humid.

A high pressure system will move over us and keep things dry for Shake the Lake. Expect mostly sunny skies and hot and humid conditions with temperatures in the mid 80s. It will feel more like the low 90s with heat index values around 91°. Be ready for the heat. Drink pleanty of water while you are outside!

It will be even warmer on Sunday with temps in the low 90s. Heat index values will be in the upper 90s and it is the first time we have felt heat like this in a while. Be prepared! Don’t forget to drink a lot of water and always look for a shady spot outside.
