Winds turning gusty later this morning and afternoon

MADISON (WKOW) — A few early showers and storms will decrease throughout the morning hours. Gusty winds of 35-50 mph are possible with trailing showers from earlier this morning.

Later this morning and early this afternoon skies will try to become partly sunny. Humid and warm conditions will continue! However, not as warm as yesterday.  A few afternoon/evening showers and t-storms are expected to redevelop and move through. Temps will be in the mid-80s.

On Saturday a very isolated storm is possible, but the day looks mostly dry and warm for Shake the Lake. Temps in the upper 80s combined with high humidity means heat index values will be in the upper 90s. Grab the sunscreen and extra water when heading outside this weekend!

Sunday will be dry with temps even hotter than Saturday. Temperatures will be in the low 90s and heat index values could touch 100°.
