BELOIT (WKOW) — A criminal complaint has been filed for a deadly crash that happened in January 2018 in the town of Clinton, near Beloit.
After more than a year, Kiyoko M. Becker, 26, has been charged in connection with the deaths of three Beloit men in a chain-reaction crash that happened on Interstate 43.
According to a criminal complaint, Becker stopped the SUV she was driving partially on the shoulder of I-43 and partially in the right lane to argue with another passenger inside the SUV.
A driver of a semi truck tried to swerve around the SUV but ended up hitting it. After hitting the SUV, the truck slid sideways and tipped over, according to the criminal complaint.
A pickup truck then crashed into the downed semi and according to the complaint, all three men in the pickup suffered injuries that led to their deaths.
The three Beloit men who died in the crash were Delandis McKinney, 26, Cecilio Rodriguez Jr., 26, and Hesham Abdelrahim, 26.
According to the complaint, a blood sample taken at 4:15 a.m. showed that Becker had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14, well over the legal limit.
Becker has been charged with three counts of homicide by driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, according to the Wisconsin Circuit Court.
An arrest warrant was issued along with the criminal complaint in Rock County Court.
According the Wisconsin Circuit Court, the arrest warrant was issued on June 27.
No arrests have been made at this time.
