Sticky start to July, more storms to come

MADISON (WKOW) — Another round of heavy rain is complete, sending our focus back to the heat and humidity.

Partial clearing this afternoon will allow temps to reach the mid-upper 80s by late afternoon. This will combine with high humidity to send heat indices into the low-mid 90s. Stay hydrated and take breaks if you have plans to work outside during the late afternoon and early evening.

A few more storms will be possible tonight, favoring areas north of Madison. Otherwise, expect a warm and muggy night with lows near 70°.

A fairly active pattern will persist for the remainder of the week, including the 4th of July. Click for your 27 here Storm Track extended forecast.
