MADISON (WKOW) – Make sure to take frequent breaks in the shade or in the air conditioning when working outside. Keep drinking water (alcohol keeps you dehydrated), and check the back seat before you leave your car. Never leave kids or pets in hot cars. Temps can soar to deadly levels in just a few minutes.
We could see a little sun today, but the main story will be the stalled boundary to our south which will aid shower and storm chances this afternoon and evening in our western and southern sections. High temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s with heat index values in the low 90s.
Tonight a few storms could make its way into the central part of southern Wisconsin, including Dane County. Lows will be in the 60s.
Have a backup plan for any outdoor events, as you may have to dodge some storms.
Friday also looks stormy, but the main cold front will sweep through at night giving way to drier, more comfortable conditions over the weekend. Click here for your complete 27 Storm Track forecast.
