Pop-up storms continue to be possible through the fireworks

MADISON (WKOW) — A few storms remain possible during the fireworks tonight, with hot and humid weather continuing Friday.

While a few showers and storms will linger into the evening, these will tend to favor areas north of Dane County. Fireworks celebrations might be impacted here.

Rain chances will go away after midnight with skies becoming partly cloudy with lows in the 70s.

Afternoon storms are expected again on Friday, and the coverage should be a little more widespread. Drier and more comfortable weather will follow for the weekend and into early next week.
