MADISON (WKOW) — A couple storms that develop Wednesday could be strong to severe.
Madison and areas south and east are under a slight level 2 risk for severe weather Wednesday through Wednesday evening with a marginal level 1 threat farther west.
Significant instability in the atmosphere will allow for a couple strong and severe storms capable of some hail, damaging winds and maybe even an isolated tornado.

Until then, everything will be much calmer. Tonight will be comfortable with just a little smoky haze that blew in from Canadian wildfires. Temps will be in the upper 50s.
Tuesday will be a little bit more humid with temps in the mid 80s. A few showers and storms are possible at night as our next weather system approaches with higher impacts on Wednesday.
