MADISON (WKOW) — The capitol square will be transformed into one of the Midwest’s most reputable art celebrations this weekend for the 61st Art Fair on the Square.
The event attracts about 500 artists and 200,000 art enthusiasts to Madison. It’s the largest fundraiser for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
Art Fair on the Square runs Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Traffic will not be able to drive on the streets around the capitol. Bus routes around the square will also be impacted starting Friday at 3:00 p.m.
The Dane County Farmers’ Market will temporarily relocate for the weekend to Breese Stevens Field off the 900-block of E Washington Ave. and E Mifflin St. Market hours remain the same from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
