Aldo Leopold Nature Center works to expand access to nature with new educational opportunities

MONONA (WKOW) — The Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Monona is celebrating its 25th birthday with several additions.

Tuesday on Wake Up Wisconsin, employees from the center stopped by to talk about the Bridge to the Future Campaign.

This year, they are adding a nature-based preschool, innovative learning labs, increasing capacity and improving infrastructure.

Tara Von Dollen will teach at the brand new preschool launching this fall.

“Kids age 3 through 5 will experience an emergent style curriculum,” she said. “It will be nature, play-based so they’ll have lots of time to explore and play.”
