Inmate goes AWOL from Dane County Jail

MADISON (WKOW) — Dane County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for an inmate who went AWOL from the county jail.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old April Homesly was scheduled to volunteer at Second Harvest Foodbank, but didn’t show up.

Homesly is serving consecutive Huber sentences for retail theft.

Homesly is 5’5” and weighs about 223 lbs, and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt and jean shorts.

Anyone who knows where she is should call 911.
