UPDATE: Merrimac Ferry reopens after brief closure

UPDATE (WKOW) — The Merrimac Ferry has reopened.

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) — The Merrimac Ferry at the Columbia and Sauk County line is closed Thursday morning due to weather, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

An alert sent out at 4:30 a.m. said the ferry will be closed throughout the early morning hours.

This impacts traffic on Wisconsin 113 Northbound and Southbound.
