Katherine Noël joined WKOW TV in January 2020. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Earth and Planetary Sciences.
Prior to working at WKOW, Noël spent three years at WOOD TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan working as the main morning show reporter. During her time there, she gained experience in weather reporting covering blizzards, hazardous lake shore conditions and potential tornado formations. She is currently studying to become a meteorologist through Mississippi State's online Broadcast Operational Meteorology program.
Noël's passion for weather started at a young age. She moved nine times, and lived in eight states before entering the 8th grade. The list includes: Wisconsin, California, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, New Jersey, California, Washington, and Indiana. As a child, she experienced everything from earthquakes and hurricanes to tornadoes and blizzards first-hand. She loved being surrounded by all types of weather phenomenon. To be working as the WKOW Weekend Evening Forecaster/Weather Reporter is a dream come true for Noël.
