UPDATE: Lanes reopen on I-39 in Rock County after semi crash

UPDATE (WKOW) — Lanes reopened on I-39 near Clinton Thursday after he Wisconsin State Patrol says a northbound semi hit the median barrier, sending sections of the barrier into the southbound lanes.

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) — Lanes of northbound and southbound I-39 near Clinton were closed Wednesday night after the Wisconsin State Patrol says a northbound semi hit the median barrier, sending sections of the barrier into the southbound lanes.

State traffic officials say the crash happened around 10:40 p.m. on I-39 near mile marker 183.

Authorities say they sent teams to remove the semi and the barriers from the roadway.

The State Patrol says after the initial crash, it appears an SUV hit one of the barriers that was pushed into the southbound lanes.

No injuries were reported in either crash.

There is no word on what caused the initial crash.
