Capital City Sunday: Universal background checks, transportation grants & Republican Party of Wisconsin

MADISON (WKOW) — The gun debate continues in Wisconsin has Democrats introduced a universal background check, even as GOP leaders express doubts it would prevent a mass shooting.

Representative Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) explains how she plans to persuade her Republicans colleges to support the proposal.

Plus, in July Governor Evers used his line-item veto to create a $75 million grant program for local governments to compete to receive road funding.
