New York man arrested in connection with sex crime involving Sun Prairie boy

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) — Police have arrested a New York man they say was having sexual conversations and sharing explicit photos with a Sun Prairie boy.

John W. Duval was arraigned today in Town of Clifton Park court, New York, on charges of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, according to a Sun Prairie Police Department news release.

Sun Prairie police have been investigating allegations of inappropriate sexual conversations and explicit photograph dissemination between Duval, 24, of Rexford, New York, and a 12-year-old boy who lives in Sun Prairie.

The crimes happened when Duval was 22, according to Sun Prairie police.

The Sun Prairie Police Department received assistance from the New York State Police and the
FBI to ultimately locate and take Duval into custody Sept. 10 on an extraditable warrant.

This investigation is still active and more information will be released when available.
